Review – Burt’s Bees Naturally ageless repairing serum

What is it – Burt’s bees naturally ageless repairing serum

Size -13 ml

Price – AUD $49.95

rosa canina (rose hips) seed oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, borago officinalis (borage) seed oil, corylus avellana (hazelnut) seed oil, oenothera biennis (evening primrose) oil, tritium vulgare (wheat) germ oil, calendula officinalis (caledula) flower extract, camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, citrus aurantium amara (bitter orange) oil, rosa damascena (bulgarian rose) flower oil, punica granatum (pomegranate) oil, tocopherol, glycine soja (soybean) oil, olus (vegetable oil, huile vegetale), beta-carotene, linalool, citral, geraniol

This serum is created to combat wrinkles around the mouth forehead and eyes , i honestly can not tell you if this works for wrinkles as i do not really have any yet but i use it to prevent future wrinkles .

However i have found this little treat does have another use, i use it to treat any imperfections i may have such as pimples and dry skin as it contains  rich  moisturizing and healing  ingredients , sometimes you just have to think about the ingredients and what they are good for and you may end up with a multi purpose product

The fragrance is not as nice as the other naturally ageless products but that does not bother me as it is not an unpleasent smell

i would say this product is worth trying and handy to have in your bathroom not only to help prevent pimples but also as a moisturizer booster and spot treatment for pimples

natural buzz now makes earth friendly jewelery

I have decided to try a new hobby my choice this time is earth friendly jewelery

I make paper beads myself from either scrapbookng paper or the really earth friendly ones are made from magazines newspaper and brochures

Each bead has got a lot of work put into them they are cut by hand rolled glued and varnished to make them durable and water resistant .

the reason i make paper  beads is i love the patterns and texture you get , plus i like the idea of creating an interesting one of a kind piece that saves all of that paper from being thrown away and wasted

if you are interested in checking out my designs please visit my etsy store where you can also buy them for yourself or as gifts

i am having an opening sale so if you purchase an item please enter the code openingsale10 to receive 10% off your purchase

Homemade – Green tea ice toner, reduces pores, sooth and refresh

Green tea leaves, from a small teabag

Image via Wikipedia

Do you get clogged pores? enlarged pores? or a puffy face in the morning?

If so  try my green tea ice toner even if you do not get any of the above you can try this toner as it is a refreshing treat and is 100% natural

What to do

Make up some strong green tea just place a green tea bag in a mug and add some water you only need about a quarter of a cup, leave the tea bag in and allow it to cool

Dunk in some cotton balls and than squeeze out the excess you want them wet but not saturated

Place the cotton balls in a container make sure they have gaps in between them and that there is no green tea in the bottom of the container or they will stick

Place the container in the freezer

The toner is best used in the morning as it will reduce any puffiness that we all get in the morning it will reduce your pores and will leave your skin glowing and refreshed

This ice toner can also be used to sooth sunburn

Don’t have any green tea? why not just use water you wont get the benefits of the green tea but it will still reduce puffiness large pores and will be just as refreshing

Homemade – Complete green tea facial, clean and refresh

I have got a special treat for you!

I have come up with a whole facial routine that will give your skin a deep clean make your skin glow and it is 100% natural and it uses products and ingredients that you have already or can find easily in stores

What you will need

Natural gentle cleanser

Large bowl

Boiled water

Two green tea bags

Cotton balls or makeup removal pads

2 Clean face washers

Cleanse your face with a gentle natural cleanser

Boil some water in the kettle place two green tea tea bags in a large bowl and pour in some boiled water there is no measurement here really just make sure there will be plenty for your facial

Steam your face  with the green tea water simply hold your face over the bowl you can also place a towel over your face and the bowl to make it more intense do this for a couple of minutes to open up your pores so you can give yourself a deep clean

Dunk a few cotton balls into the green tea and place them in a container and put them in the fridge for later

Now to make your face scrub pull out a tea bag and tear it open, empty the tea leaves into a small bowel , add about a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of sugar and mix if it is too runny add more sugar until it is thick enough If it is too thick add either more honey or a little green tea from your bowl  . now exfoliate your face just rub the mixture into your face like you would with any other face scrub be gentle there is no need to apply pressure when scrubbing you just want to gently move the mixture around your skin

To remove the face scrub we are not going to use water we are going to use our green tea , simply soak a clean face washer into the green tea and remove as much as you can than use cotton balls soaked in the green tea to remove any that is left over , no double dipping only place the face washer or cotton balls in the green tea once you want it to remain clean

Now that your skin is cleaner and all dead skin cells have been whisked away it is time for a face mask simply tear open the other tea bag and empty into a small container or bowel and add some honey there is no measurements just make a nice sticky paste and apply to your face

After fifteen minutes remove the face mask the same way that you removed the scrub , use the green tea with a fresh clean face washer and cotton balls i used the face washer first as it removes more than the cotton balls than just used cotton balls to get any excess removed

Now it is time to tone your skin, get the cotton balls soaked in green tea out of the fridge and rub them over your face the cold will close your pores reduce any redness and feels refreshing

Now moisturise your face with your regular moisturiser use eye cream if you have it too

your face should now look a lot cleaner your pores should be smaller and you should have glowing skin

This facial is very messy and time consuming so make sure you have plenty of time and patience

Scrub your lips with the face scrub too ,your lips get a build up of dead skin just like your face scrubbing your lips will leave them soft and smooth

Try to get green tea that is 100% natural and organic there are lots of brands that sell organic green tea so just pick whichever one that is in your price range

Green tea is well known to have benefits to the skin such as anti aging reduces ,inflammation ,and treats pimples and green tea is packed with antioxidants

Honey is also great for your skin it adds and attracts moisture to your skin is a natural antiseptic and also contains antioxidants

My review –

The first thing i noticed when i opened up the bottle was the smell this body milk smells divine it has a very feminine jasmine fragrance that is quite strong but smells  natural like you just walked past fresh jasmine flowers after applying this body milk i do not feel the need for perfume as i already smell like i have applied perfume .

This was actually my first time using a body milk usually i choose a light body lotion for the  day and a thicker body lotion or butter for night so the texture was a bit of a surprise it is so light that it feels like you are just applying water and it absorbs so much  faster than anything i have ever used , at first this was a bit discouraging as i didn’t feel like i had applied anything and i thought surely this can not be doing anything if there is no greasy film over my skin but the ingredients list does show some of my favorite nourishing ingredients so obviously it is moisturising , i have actually come to love the texture it is so much faster to apply as it sinks in to the skin so quickly and really i don’t want to look and feel oily through the day so this makes the perfect day moisturiser .

I love the ingredient list coconut oil is one of my favorite ingredients and one that i look for in my lotions and potions . aloe vera is nourishing moisturizing and healing and the jasmine oil is the perfect fragrance i love that everything is natural and certified organic and they go one step further by making it organic to international food standards something that i have never seen on any other products that i have tried so far

The price is a little higher than what i would normally spend on a body lotion but it is nice to have a little treat every now and than and really if you think about it you would end up using less perfumes as you  already smell beautiful  so in a way you are going to save money .

The service at Miessence is very professional and fast i got an email to let me know my order was received and one to let me know my order was posted you also receive  a tracking number so that you know where your package is and can estimate how long it will take to get to you , my package arrived just a couple of days after i ordered which i was excited about but as the company is in Australia and i live in Australia people outside Australia might have to wait a little longer .

I recommend you go check out their website there is a large range of products so you are sure to find something that you like and they do sell trial sizes  so you can purchase the trial size and try it out for a while before committing to buying the full size product .

soon i will be reviewing Miessence’s  mint toothpaste and Tahitian breeze deodorant so keep an eye out for that if you are interested
